Escape from Tarkov is a first-person shooter video game that can only be played in multiplayer mode and on the Windows platform. It was developed and published by Battlestate Games. The second release, which has since been in operation, is a closed beta; it became available in July 2017.

The game is set in the middle of a war between two private military companies – United Security (USEC) and BEAR – in the fictional Norvinsk region of Northwest Russia. Escape from Tarkov Customs Map Basics
The Escape from Tarkov Customs map has three primary segments, with each segment having limited opportunities to cross to any of the other segments. The following are the three primary areas of the customs map.
- The west or left area, which consists of bridges, rivers, and storage containers. This segment is distinguishable by storage sheds or a red warehouse.
- The central area, which you can identify by the presence of woods, dorms, and construction yards.
- The east or right area, which consists of large boilers (or silos), gas stations, and a shipping yard. This segment can is identifiable by the presence of gas stations or a shipping yard.
It is worthy of note that most spawn points would launch you in any of the aforementioned segments. Hence, ensure you take a minute to analyze your surrounding and determine your location as soon as you spawn.
Factions in Customs Map
For you to play in Escape from Tarkov Customs map, you will need to rely heavily on either of the two factions – USEC and BEAR. While USEC focuses on AR systems, long-shots, and weapon upgrades, and communicates in English, BEAR specializes in assaults and AK products and communicates in Russian.
Escape from Tarkov Customs Map Chokepoints
The Customs map features a small number of chokepoints, which are areas where every player has to cross within intervals throughout the game. Chokepoints are dangerous areas that require players to think through their movements before they attempt to cross it. They are, however, a great vantage point for long-range target practice. The major chokepoints on this map are the bridges.
Extraction Points in Escape from Tarkov Customs Map
Escape from Tarkov Customs map requires you to travel to the other side from where you spawn. For instance, if you spawn on the eastern segment, your extraction points will be located on the western end. Extraction points, also known as exit points, refer to the points where you can leave with your acquired loot. These points are not stable as they rotate on a random basis, hence, to confirm accessible extraction points at any point in time, double click the “O” button.
Note that any point with a question mark requires extra action such as paying something, locating a key, etc.

Majority of the exit points in this map have their requirements, however, extraction points like Administration Gate, Crossroads & Trailer Park, and Factory Far Corner are always open.
