Initial D is a car racing anime series produced by a set of different anime studios. The anime is an adaptation of a manga series with the same name written and drawn by Shuuichi Shigeno.
Synopsis : Takumi Yamawara, an average high school student aged 18, works as a delivery boy at his father’s tofu store. His father’s Panda 1983 Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT Apex AE86 is the vehicle he uses to deliver his orders. Takumi disliked driving because of this.
He was able to drive since middle school, which gave him exceptional driving skills. His friend discovers his driving abilities and introduces Takumi into the world of Touge racing. Takumi is soon immersed in the world of high speed car racing before he even knows it.
